September, 1958. Severely mutilated in Algeria, private Pierre-Emile Delorme is sent back home to his family. Caught between a very ambitious father and a discreet mother, living in a world of words, of unspoken remarks and pretenses, Pierre will confide in his elder brother, Alban. Confide the memories laid down on paper of an absurd war. Memories that are cumbersome in many regards.
