Waati Sera (‘It’s Time !’), is self-produced by Amkoullel and its label Woklo Barka Prod in 2007. It is a militant opus against Africans’ disdainful self-image that imposes Amkoullel on the market with three prices at the Mali Hip-Hop Awards 2009: Best single, best video, best featuring. The track Farafina will be played a lot on TV and is appearing on the OIF and Afrolution . The Amkoullel sound is now defined as musical collages from traditional African instruments, jazz and rock, arousing the attention of even the most refined audience.
