The exceptional destiny of 17 Senegalese women who deserve to be remembered. Rarely mentioned in the debates and official ceremonies that mark the life of our country, many heroic women have written some of the most beautiful pages in the history of Senegal. And that was long before independence.
In 1957, the first apolitical women's association was born in Senegal with the aim of promoting women and children. Pioneers, they were the first to celebrate March 8 and Tirailleur Day. Independent, they fought and fought for the independence of their country.
This documentary film is a tribute to the UFS, the Union des Femmes du Sénégal, a tribute to African women, a tribute to the pioneers that were set up, the Union des Femmes de l'Ouest Africain (UFOA), which will give birth to the Pan-African Women's Association.
